The talents of Salon Owner, Educator, and Hair Artist Danielle Keasling, are simply amazing. Lucky for us, Danielle volunteered to let us pick her brain about inspiration and her favorite hair trends! Check out our interview below to learn more about Danielle, and what fuels her passion for hair artistry.

What was the inspiration behind your collection? How did the creative process unfold?
I should have been born in the 50's to experience the 70's to the fullest! It's my FAVORITE era and anytime I get to be inspired by it and channel it, I'm in!

What is your “Recipe” for an amazing shoot?
Well we reached out a little on this one......we wanted to create a modern boho feel but we wanted it to feel a bit over the top so we created chaos in the backdrop. We felt like it was best to really convey the true culture of the 70’s.

Who would be your ultimate dream team and why? From photographer to model?
My ultimate dream team......I have worked with SOOOOOO many amazingly talented artists that my dream team would be more like a dream league!

How did you get your “start” in the industry?
I set out determined with my goal of one day being a woman's icon. I wanted to help inspire people and it's very important to me to change even one persons life during my lifetime.

What’s on your photo shoot playlist?
Lorde, Ellie Golding, Lana Del Ray

What hair trend are you loving right now?
STILL 70's inspired boho chic! Is it ever going to go away??? I hope not!

Any Hair Trends you would like to revive?
Not really. Self expression should always be excepted. I’ll go with that!

What is the one tool and/or product you can't live without?
My Color brush from CBC Chrystofer Benson collective, my C combs from (Chrystofer Benson Collective) and my Sam Villa micro crimp iron !

What time of day do you feel most creative?
In the morning when I’m on the elliptical, or after my yoga session ;-)

If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be and what would you do with their hair?
MYSELF!!!!! I’m ALWAYS the shoe maker or the daughter or however that goes!

What is the one “hair-tip” every consumer should know?
DO NOT do the box! It's a beautiful and somewhat mysterious aisle, but please DON’T!
