OSCARS 2020 STYLE
Winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Marriage Story was the heartfelt win the audience didn’t even know they needed. In her acceptance speech she thanked her friends and her “acting heros” who just so happen to be her parents. This sweet moment showed off the Laura Dern we all love and know. Apart from her beaming persona, Dern looked fabulous as ever in a pink and black gown and half up swept back style that capitalized on the overall vibe her team was going for.
“Laura, her stylist, and the Armani team decided on this stunning pale pink and black embroidered gown. As a team, we all decided the 1960s aesthetic of the gown would perfectly lend itself to complementary 60s vibes hair and makeup. I decided on a half back look with a swooping bang, keeping Laura’s hair behind her shoulders to expose her long, beautiful neck and to spotlight the details on the gown. I added a few custom hair extensions to extend the length to the middle of the back, shaping the hair into a soft V. My key product for this look is Redken’s NEW! Deep Clean Dry Shampoo to absorb any excess product and add a touch of volume at the roots. Imagine a modern-day 1960s belle de jour California girl, spending her summer in Italy. It’s classic glam with a mix of Laura’s California roots.” - Celebrity Hairstylist Ryan Trygstad.

OSCARS 2020 COLOR
There is no doubt about it, brunettes have had quite the resurgence this season, and the Oscars 2020 red carpet echoed this notion. When describing their color, Cassondra shared: “Rooney loves to have a sleek, deep cool brunette color. I use Redken Shades EQ Gloss to enhance her natural color and cancel out unwanted brass. Natalie has the perfect smoky gold color with subtle pops of brightness around her face. I tell my brunette clients to come back for a Redken Shades EQ Gloss in-between their full color appointments to refresh their color, keep it looking cool and add tons of shine.”
Up until now, brunette shades didn’t have specialized at-home care to perfect their tone. However, the latest innovation from Redken is giving brunettes even more reason to embrace their shade. “For at-home care, Redken Color Extend Brownlights Shampoo and Conditioner is a great way for brunettes to maintain their color and fight those unwanted undertones.” Says Kaeding. Redken Color Extend Brownlights Shampoo and Conditioner is formulated with a deep blue shade that directly works to neutralize orange tones in the hair - the biggest culprit when it comes to brassy fade out.
