Bri Bird owner at Bri Bird Artistry Salon in Denver, CO, and Colortrak Ambassador, created this lovely bright colored bob. Her client began with a natural level 7, below are the steps she used to get this fabulous fantasy color!
Formulas Used:
Formula A (pre-lighten): 10-volume lightener for 1/2 the head, then 20 Vol for the rest.
Formula B: J Beverly Hills Hot Pink + 1’ ribbon of J Beverly Hills Amethyst for depth
Formula C: 3 parts J Beverly Hills Hot Pink + 1 part J Beverly Hills Fire
Formula D: Pravana Silver
Sectioning Technique:
Use 3 sections in total, two in the front and one in the back secured with your Colortrak Croc Clips.
Step 1
Apply Formula A with Colortrak’s Wide Hair Coloring Brush. Apply 10 Vol on the roots first, and then pull throughout. Switch to 20 Vol when you run out of 10 to allow the entire head to process evenly, starting at the bottom of each section. Let the hair process for about 15-20 minutes, or until the hair is at least a level 9. Then, rinse and wash with J Beverly Hills Clarifying shampoo, no conditioner.
Step 2
Blow dry the hair completely. Starting at the root apply Formula B and comb it through each section. Pull Formula B through to the ends on desired sections, while blending into Formula C and D on other sections. The size and placement of the colors are up to you. Allow the hair to process for 20 minutes with heat, 10 minutes without.
Step 3
Rinse the hair thoroughly using cold water until the water runs clear. Condition the hair, no shampoo.
Step 4
Trim the hair, apply J Beverly Hills 5-in-1 blow dry cream and J Beverly Hills Glaze Me and blow dry with a 2” round brush.
