Hitting the scenes in early 2020, Twilighting will be a mainstay trend for brunettes for many seasons to come. A mix of balayage and babylights, hair is lifted only a few levels lighter than their natural or base color. Balayage should be concentrated toward the end and the back, similar to an ombre placement while the babylights should frame the face with a natural effect.

Maintenance:

  • Touchup every 12-16 weeks
  • Gloss every 8 weeks
  • Pigmented color care used at home

Ombre hair originally became popular after the 2008 financial crisis hit and this time around, we’re going to see and update to this look with Lived-In hair. Usually created, foilyage, balayage or a combination of the two, Lived-In hair was originally dreamt up from looking at the way in which a child’s hair naturally lightens in the sun. With no lines of demarcation or rules for placement, each look is created tailored to your client's hair. It is the most subtle of hair trends and involves a great deal of blending to ensure a seamless grow out.

Maintenance:

  • Touchup every: 12 - TBD - Many clients can go months in between appointments
  • Gloss every 8 weeks
  • Pigmented color care used at home
