If anyone else has been following the adventures of Fashion Week through the eyes of social starlets, you may be privy to the adventures of Caroline Vreeland and her bestie Shea Marie (a.k.a. @PeaceLoveShea). Perhaps one of our favorite moments this week was Shea capturing Caroline dousing herself with a water bottle prior to Marc Jacobs at the Armory to ensure her hair was perfectly “wet” for the show, now that’s dedication.

Vreeland wasn’t the only one rocking the wet hair look this season; Selena Gomez was also seen carrying out this style. For those of you looking for a way to take the natural hairstyle trend to the next level, this is it. Seen on celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and even RHW – it is having a major moment. This style was also seen on the runway at shows such as Coach, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu and Fenty Puma.

For those of you who don't want to worry about carrying a water bottle with you wherever you go - try these tips and tricks to get the look. Although this style is a “wet” look, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the hair needs to be drenched, in fact you will probably fair better if the hair is about 70-80% dry before leaving the house.

The key to creating his look will lie in the mixture of products you choose, how and when you apply them to your hair:

-Opt for creams and gels over oils and mousses

-Towel dry hair with a non-terry cloth towel to cut down on frizz while still giving a “natural” look.

-Mix together a gel and a cream product to ensure hair does not appear too stiff (and crunchy) or soft (and greasy).

            - Add a wide-toothed comb to your routine. This will separate your strands without causing them to look overly “done.”
