Have you picked your summer shade? While we anticipate the sun and daydream about beachside vacations, why not update your style? Prepping for summer is more than anticipating the sun and daydreaming about beachside vacations, it’s the perfect time of year to ramp up your style for the sunniest season of all. Whether you’re sticking to a similar shade or want to try something new (even if it’s just temporary), take a peek at some of the hottest shades for summer.

Hair Painting – Balayage is the process by which a stylist hand paints lightener onto your hair, creating a natural style that looks like you spend days in the sun instead of hours in the salon. While we’ve seen hues change over the past few season’s, we’ve also seen placement change as well. This summer, we’re predicting hand painting to be one of the most requested styles in the salon. This placement allows for an over lightened effect with natural placement that will grow out without obvious roots.

Platinum Blonde – Celebs like Kristen Stewart and Zoey Kravitz have proven that platinum is still very much in style. This hue is the perfect tone for a color-blocking effect that will have everyone turning heads. Whether you want to go for a shorter style or leave your hair long and blonde that is up to you – we love it either way!

Warm Tones – Just like the temps, hair color is warming up for the summer. While ravenous reds and blorange masterpieces made a comeback this year, their more subtle counterparts are debuting shades for summer. Warm caramel toned highlights and peach champagne tones are everywhere, while abundant festival styles are showing off pops of pink.
